Job Details
The Designated Depository Participant (DDP) team is a critical component of our organization's commitment to regulatory compliance and risk management. We are responsible for the efficient and effective execution of due diligence processes, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute daily due diligence activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of requests and information.
Exercise sound judgment and ensuring all criteria are met before processing the request.
Ensure all DDP activities and approvals comply with internal policies and external regulatory frameworks, with a particular focus on SEBI FPI (Foreign Portfolio Investor) regulations.
Identify and escalate potential risks or compliance breaches during the due diligence process.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Implementation, KYC) to ensure seamless delivery and enhanced client experience.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of DDP workflows and procedures, identifying efficiencies and best practices.
Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
5 years of relevant experience
Experience managing across multi-function and/or global business
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated analytical skills
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
