Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Finance in New York, New York
Perform operational and financial controllership over a technology business unit. Maintain yearly budget and planning process for all expenses incurred by the business unit. Conduct financial management oversight and coordination of capital provisioning. Headcount planning, including support for hiring managers in all firm policies, on-boarding procedures, and financial administration. Re-forecast support including financial plan revisions, monthly variance analysis, and comprehensive financial reporting to stakeholders. Assist department managers for communications of technology agenda and departmental strategy. Act as a liaison between technology and finance teams to shape financial system development strategy focusing on infrastructure financial planning, headcount and labor related financial planning. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salary:
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $178,000 and $205,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master’s in Economics, Business Administration or related field of Study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Director, Associate, Business Operations, Business Management, Financial Analyst, or closely related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience: Financial planning and analysis including: Leading annual budget process, long-range planning, and monthly forecasts for large technology areas; Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including Cash vs Fiscal views, PnL statements, Capitalization & Depreciation, and Balance sheet analysis; Developing and maintaining robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning; Data analysis including statistical concepts and variance analysis using large data models to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; OLAP Cubes, Power Query, and Query languages including MDX and DAX; Developing reports using PowerBI and Tableau; Microsoft Office suite including: Excel, and PowerPoint; and VBA.
