Position Overview:
Spiff is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Vice President (RVP) to lead the Salesforce practice for the FINS (Financial Services), RCG (Retail/Consumer Goods), and CBS (Commercial & Business Services) verticals. This is a strategic, high-visibility leadership role that requires a combination of deep industry expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in building and scaling successful sales strategies for large, complex organizations.
As the RVP, you will drive the growth and success of Spiff’s solutions within these verticals, helping to align our commission and performance management offerings with the unique needs of each industry. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and Salesforce stakeholders to maximize market penetration, build strong relationships, and ensure customer success across the FINS, RCG, and CBS sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the FINS, RCG, and CBS verticals, aligned with Spiff’s overarching business goals.
Drive and deliver on revenue targets and KPIs specific to these verticals, ensuring sustainable, profitable growth.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to ensure they achieve and exceed sales goals within their respective regions.
Collaborate with senior leadership to continuously refine and enhance the sales strategy based on market dynamics and emerging trends.
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to closing and ongoing customer success.
Foster regimen and rigor around the Cloud to Core (Spiff AEs driving visibility, credibility and value to the Core AE teams they support to drive pipeline growth) and Target Accounting (developing specific Points of View - POVs for high value target accounts) enablement motions for your team.
Ensure your AEs develop unique Business Value (BVS) cases for key deals to ensure clarity in customer value associated with adopting Spiff for ICM.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strategic relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at high-level target accounts and Core RVPs/AVPs/teams within the FINS, RCG, and CBS industries.
Serve as the primary liaison between Spiff and top-tier Salesforce clients, driving customer adoption, retention, and satisfaction.
Leverage your deep industry knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through Spiff’s solution offerings in the context of their business needs and challenges.
Work closely with the customer success and implementation teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to post-sale implementation.
Sales Operations & Performance:
Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting to ensure the team’s performance meets or exceeds objectives.
Leverage Salesforce and other tools to track and report on sales performance, pipeline health, and team productivity.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency across the sales organization.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to position Spiff as the industry leader in performance management solutions.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate with the Core AEs, RVPs and AVPs covering FINS, RCG and CBS to ensure GTM strategy alignment and in driving ongoing pipeline and deal strategy. Foster productive relationships with the Core teams we support in driving Spiff ACV.
Collaborate with the marketing, product, and engineering teams to drive product innovation and enhance Spiff’s offerings for specific vertical needs.
Act as a liaison between the vertical teams and the product team to ensure Spiff’s solutions are optimized for FINS, RCG, and CBS industries.
Champion internal alignment between marketing, sales, and customer success to create a seamless customer journey.
Become an active and contributing member of the SF Spiff Sales Leadership team, collaborating and strategizing with peers as to possible creative ways to improve our GTM motion and velocity.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience, with at least 2 years focused on managing large-scale enterprise sales. Preferred experience within the FINS (Financial Services), RCG (Retail/Consumer Goods), or CBS (Commercial & Business Services) industries.
Proven success in building, scaling, and leading high-performance sales teams.
Strong experience with Salesforce products, technologies, and ecosystems, particularly around CRM, automation, and performance management.
In-depth knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities within the FINS, RCG, and CBS sectors, including a strong understanding of sales compensation and performance management solutions.
A history of success in driving both new business development and customer retention.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities, with a track record of developing talent and fostering high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with C-suite executives and key stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and optimize sales strategies.
Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead large, complex sales cycles.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to change.
