We are looking for a talented Production Associate to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Master Rebuild Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Ensure a safe working environment: Proactively identifying hazards, using proper PPE, and taking immediate action when risks arise, helping protect both yourself and your team.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture: Reporting incidents promptly, supporting safety initiatives, and encouraging colleagues to look out for one another.
  • Maintain high product quality: Following standard work instructions, applying SPC and poka‑yoke methods, and performing accurate inspections to reduce defects and rework.
  • Protect customers and the business: Identifying non‑conforming materials early and raising quality issues before they escalate into costly problems.
  • Support reliable delivery and production flow: Operating equipment efficiently, achieving cycle times, and consistently meeting production targets.
  • Keep operations running smoothly: Routine housekeeping, machine cleaning, and planned operator maintenance that improve equipment uptime.
  • Strengthen team performance: Communicating clearly with peers and support teams, sharing updates, and collaborating on repairs or process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Actively participating in initiatives that enhance safety, quality, material flow, and employee development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Solid operational and technical capability: Correct use of PPE, safe operation of lifting equipment and PIVs (with training provided), and the ability to perform productive/non‑productive tasks such as engine disassembly, acid/wash processes, wire brushing, packing, unpacking, and cleaning components for customer inspections.
  • Strong safety mindset: Consistently applying Health & Safety fundamentals by identifying, reporting, and acting on hazards; using proper tools and protective gear; and actively contributing to an injury‑free, interdependent safety culture.
  • Good manufacturing and 5S discipline: Understanding and applying manufacturing processes, adapting to process or equipment changes, performing high-quality housekeeping, and supporting continuous improvement within the MRC environment.
  • Effective teamwork and communication: Working closely with supervisors and the technical team, aligning on planned production activities, supporting core engine sourcing and repacking, and ensuring smooth operational flow (including covering engines and preparing skids).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
