At our Peabody, MA MRO facility, we specialize in the repair and special processing of turbine (hot section) jet engine hardware. As a Repair Engineering Leader, you will lead a team of engineers and metrologists to innovate, develop and implement technologies to support these repair processes. Yo will also interact across the broader Aftermarket team to leverage process and technical improvements, while developing a robust technology plan to continue to grow the technical capabilities of the facility. Additionally, you will partner with the OEM engine manufacturer to implement and substantiate new repair development and ongoing support of existing repair operations.
What You Will Do
- Manage a team of experienced professionals (engineers & metrologists)
- Own the execution of long-term technology road map strategy and the operations technical support of ongoing production
- Develop & deploy robust internal process requirements to ensure highest level of safety and quality maintained within the processes.
- Lead a team responsible for analyzing all process variations and implementing robust corrective action and process improvements
- Develop new manufacturing processes and standards to align with long-term business and operations goals.
- Interface with customers to explain technical details of repairs, defects or warranty claims.
- Establish, develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for engineering and technical work focused on improving the organizations performance.
- Oversee activities focused on planning and designing manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate the recommendations of engineers to ensure they are accurate and consistent with the organization's production plans and will improve the production capabilities in line with customer expectations.
- Leverage continuous improvement processes and tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to improve EHS & Facilities performance
- Lead a positive culture and championing diversity and inclusive leadership
- May be required to work off hours
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of FAR 145 requirements and associated repair documentations.
- Knowledge of various technical publications such as Structural Repair Manual, Component Maintenance Manual, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, etc.
- Jet engine component knowledge
- Prior experience with MRO engineering
- Prior people leadership
- Project management experience
- Continuous improvement process and tools

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
