Role Overview:
Lead the design, delivery, and optimization of deposit and loan products for Morgan Stanley’s Asia Wealth Management clients. This role focuses on creating tailored solutions for UHNW and corporate clients while driving balance sheet efficiency and managing treasury-related risks. Your expertise in product strategy, cross-functional execution, and P&L oversight will be critical to success in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Development
- Design, launch, and enhance deposit (e.g. structured deposit) and loan offerings (e.g. SBLC) tailored to wealth clientele
- Develop product roadmaps based on market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and client needs
- Lifecycle & Performance Management
- Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, business case, pricing, launch, monitoring, and iteration
- Establish product KPIs, dashboards, perform profitability analysis, and recommend enhancements
- Balance Sheet & Treasury Optimization
- Collaborate with Treasury on ALM, liquidity management, and funding strategies
- Optimize balance sheet through strategic deposit pricing, product term structuring, sweeps, and loan portfolio deployment
- Risk & Compliance Oversight
- Partner with Risk and Treasury to manage interest rate, liquidity, credit, and FX exposures
- Ensure regulatory compliance with HKMA, Monetary Authority of Singapore and Basel III throughout the product lifecycle
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Technology teams for seamless product rollouts
- Provide training, create client-facing and internal collateral
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA/CFA/CPWP preferred
- 7+ years of experience in banking product management, specifically in deposits and loans, with a focus on wealth or SME clients
- Demonstrated experience in balance sheet impact and treasury-managed risk product design
- Strong knowledge of regulatory, ALM, and product P&L frameworks
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills across regions
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, and a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance workflows
