We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Oversight Technology Support Professional to work within Morgan Stanley's Legal and Compliance (LCD) Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Oversight Governance team and work to improve the execution and enhancement of the firm's Testing technology tools. This position will work closely with NFR management and Technology teams to enhance operational effectiveness of current support methodologies and to assist with strategic projects related to Testing systems.

The Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Department operates as a second-line risk management function within the Legal and Compliance Division, covering Compliance, Global Financial Crimes, and Operational Risk. The department delivers consistent oversight of non-financial risks, supporting an effective risk management program across the firm.
Non-financial risks include those risks with potential economic, reputational, regulatory, financial reporting, or client impact arising from inadequate processes, data, controls, infrastructure, environmental factors, and/or actions by individuals.

What you will do in the role:

  • Serve as a delegate Product Owner and business system administrator for the suite of key LCD and NFR Testing and Monitoring applications

  • Drive changes in the Technology platform to meet the changing Testing and Monitoring methodology and requirements

  • Partner with LCD NFR Technology and Data Strategy in designing the future-state tool

  • Project management of application enhancements and adoption (i.e. business requirement drafting, user acceptance testing, communication plans, etc.)

  • Interface directly with global users to assist in the execution of troubleshooting and issue investigation in order to address day-to-day questions pertaining to application functionality

  • Assist in preparing materials for periodic working group meetings that highlight recent achievements, upcoming plans and other key updates

  • Assist in creating and maintaining a sustainable user self-service support process for key Testing applications through the development of quick reference cards and twiki sites, the identification of lessons learned and the creation of training materials

  • Support training delivery to key stakeholders and new joiners, as needed

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to identify root causes and assist with other NFR strategic projects to improve efficiency of key processes

What you will bring to the role:

  • Undergraduate degree required

  • 3-5 years of experience in Compliance, Operational Risk, and/or the financial services industry with a Technology background

  • Proven consultative skills, working with business users to document requirements, designing, and implementing solutions

  • Program management and project management experience

  • Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams spanning LCD NFR, Technology, and across the Firm

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and general IT systems
