Join Our Dynamic Recovery and Resolution Planning Team!

Are you ready to make a significant impact at Morgan Stanley? We are excited to invite a proactive and skilled professional to join our Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) team within Corporate Treasury. This is your opportunity to contribute to a variety of regulatory initiatives and collaborate with business units worldwide. As part of the Finance division, you'll play a crucial role in managing, analyzing, and advising on the Firm’s financial and capital resources.

Corporate Treasury is at the heart of our financial strategy, providing corporate finance advisory services to senior management and internal business units. We optimize the Firm’s liquidity and capital base, manage interest rate and foreign exchange exposure, and coordinate relationships with regulators, rating agencies, and creditors. The RRP team is essential in enhancing the Firm’s resilience and resolvability across jurisdictions.

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with colleagues across Finance and the Firm to drive RRP workstreams, including regulatory submissions and supporting documentation.

  • Regulatory Analysis: Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements, translating them into actionable outputs.

  • Impact Evaluation: Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess the impact of changes to the Firm's activities on its resiliency and resolvability.

  • Framework Enhancement: Maintain and enhance RRP frameworks, documentation, templates, and remediation actions in response to feedback.

  • Governance Support: Assist in governance processes, including preparing materials for senior management and regulatory engagement.

  • Program Management: Support program management, regulatory reporting, and respond to ad hoc requests.

  • Risk Management: Maintain RRP-related risks, controls, policies, and procedures in line with Firm standards.

  • Presentation Preparation: Prepare clear, concise presentations for senior management forums and regulators.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of finance or regulatory frameworks, ideally including recovery and resolution planning.

  • Analytical Skills: Well-developed analytical skills to summarize complex regulatory and financial matters.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.

  • Team Collaboration: Experience working effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in financial services is preferred (e.g., banking, broker-dealer, asset management, consulting, or regulatory).

  • Experience Level: Typically, 3+ years of relevant experience.
