We’re seeking someone to join our Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting Job Family at Director/AVP level, which is responsible for the accuracy and control of the Firm’s books and records to produce the consolidated firm, segment and legal entities financial statements, including development, management and oversight of financial accounting & reporting systems as well as database management, including capital and liquidity reporting and external reporting functions.

The Regulatory Controller team has responsibility for a series of regulatory capital processes, reporting and projects across (including but not limited to) Own Funds, Large Exposures and Leverage. The team is accountable for the associated external reporting including CoRep, IFR, IFPR and Pillar III, other related disclosures, as well as internal reporting and governance related activities.

Currently there is an opportunity within the London Capital initiatives Reg Controller team with a focus on strategic regulatory rule changes (project oversight and technical reviews), technology enhancements including the expansion of AI to regulatory processes, Reg project support for the multi-year rollout of risk data aggregation/risk reporting framework (RDARR), as well as adhoc regulatory and internal requests supporting the wider Reg Controller team. The successful candidate will structure, drive forward and provide oversight support over multiple capital initiatives outlined above.

Given this broad remit, the team works closely with a wide range of stakeholders globally, including the wider Reg Controllers and Finance team, Risk, Technology, Firm and Finance Data offices, ISG, Operations, and various Business Units. This breadth of interaction provides an excellent opportunity to learn and interact with a range of regulatory rules, businesses and products across the firm, as well as gain exposure to the latest AI technology and the Firm's data strategy .

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is an Associate within our Risk, Assurance, Governance & Control job family which provides oversight and monitoring of operational risk or third party/outsourcing for the global Finance division, validation and testing of financial and regulatory reports and reinforcement of regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.

What you'll do in the role:
-High focus on existing and upcoming Capital and Risk Data Aggregation rules (e.g. B3EG, FRTB, RDARR), with oversight across multiple workstreams and support more detailed reviews within those workstreams
-Direct support for the London Reg management team, as well as close collaboration with the Glasgow Capital initiatives team team
-Structure and oversight of project plans across the strategic capital working groups as required.
-Independent challenge of workstreams rule and process based self-assessments
-Coordinating across divisions to capture project documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy and timely updates
-Communicate project status, risks and issues to key project stakeholders including senior management
-Challenge compliance commentary leveraging the technical knowledge gained through the rules and process reviews
-Collaborate with Technology and Reg teams to roll out AI across Reg control processes, including self assessments, regulatory requests, data management principles, calculation and reporting processes
-Work closely with Reg Controllers and the Finance Data Divisional office on the Firmwide Risk Data Aggregation initiative rollout, including embedding data management principles within business-as-usual processes. Capital Reporting is one of the key prioritized areas for the Firm.
-Support internal and external ad hoc queries, as a technical and process SME
-Act as a key advisor, working alongside cross-functional teams on the implementation of both internal and external capital projects. You have:
 

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Experience of regulatory calculations and reporting, including review and application of regulatory rules
-Ability to assist with project management with autonomy and structure in a fast past regulatory change environment, with good planning and organizational skills
-Ability to work through technically challenging concepts, with an attention to detail
-Excellent communication both verbal and written
-Work experience within large financial services firms or other directly relevant experience
-The ability to work effectively within local and global teams, as well as independently, building effective working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders across divisions.
-Self-motivated personality with high standards for quality of work and accuracy. The flexibility required to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines.
-Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word) and an ability to summarize themes in a meaningful format.
