Job Details

We are currently hiring for an exciting opportunity as an Intern (m/f/d) – Python Development Assistant to join our team.

Join the SIMULIA EMAG Operations Team and become part of a highly technical group responsible for running, maintaining, and extending the daily release pipeline for the entire SIMULIA EMAG portfolio, including Gen7. This internship offers hands-on exposure to large-scale software delivery processes, CI/CD automation, and modern DevOps practices supporting engineers worldwide.

Role Description & Responsibilities

  • You will support the daily release pipeline, ensuring reliable builds, automated tests, and timely delivery of releases for CST Studio Suite

  • You will assist in CI/CD processes and develop Python-based internal tools to enhance automation, maintainability, and configurability

  • You will refactor existing scripts, eliminate obsolete code patterns, and add reporting features to support the core team

  • You will collaborate with senior engineers to extend automation frameworks and integrate new requirements, including machine learning workflows

  • You will maintain and improve R&D services, including version control, issue tracking, and disaster recovery systems.

  • You will contribute to software quality by introducing unit tests, performing validation, and ensuring robustness and reliability of internal tools

Qualifications

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or a closely related STEM field.

  • You have practical experience in software development, especially Python scripting, and solid basic software engineering knowledge

  • You are familiar with operating system functions, essential networking, and cross-platform development (Windows and Linux)

  • You have a basic understanding of CI/CD principles, version control systems, and DevOps workflows

  • You are curious and eager to learn new technologies, including machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and REST-based interfaces

  • You have strong teamwork and communication skills, and you work autonomously, self-motivated, and structured
