We are looking for a talented Electrical Technician – Level III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Program Machines : Design and implement machine programs to improve usage and overall operation.
  • Apply Manufacturing Knowledge : Use your understanding of manufacturing processes to implement changes that meet functional needs and drive continuous improvement.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Perform advanced PLC troubleshooting and minor program modifications on systems such as Allen-Bradley platforms to restore equipment to operational status.

Diagnose and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, and HMI interfaces to support automated production lines and minimize downtime.

Lead electrical root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for repeat equipment issues and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability and performance.

Must possess a state-administered journeyman card.

  1. Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and control panel layouts.
  2. Hands-on troubleshooting experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  3. Strong understanding of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
