DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Supports the customer-facing sales force throughout the sales rhythm, from lead generation to order close. Operates under supervision while following clearly defined and well-documented procedures. The role focuses on responding to incoming customer enquiries, supporting sales operations, assisting with quotations, order processing, reporting, and contributing to customer engagement activities, including BTL activities and new product promotions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responds to incoming electronic customer enquiries (e.g., emails, online forms) and escalates to a more experienced Inside Sales Coordinator when required.
  • Supports the customer-facing sales force by assisting in the preparation of budgetary quotations, including technical data, lead times, pricing inputs, and customer presentations.
  • Contributes to the preparation, scheduling, and execution of customer visits and customer events where processes are well documented and repetitive.
  • Supports Below-the-Line (BTL) activities and new product promotion initiatives as directed.
  • Assists with order processing activities including order acknowledgements, invoicing, and shipping notices for simple and clearly defined jobs.
  • Runs and maintains standard reports related to order status, inventory status, and other sales-related data using established procedures.
  • Routes identified customer issues to appropriate internal teams and follows up to support resolution, including shipment and after-sales issues.
  • Periodically reports inventory and stock levels in line with documented procedures.
  • Acts as backup support for branch personnel in the sale of products to retail customers where tasks are standardized and repetitive.
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable export control or sanctions regulations.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience meeting applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Knowledge

Primary Knowledge / Skills

  • Customer-focused communication skills with the ability to respond clearly and professionally to enquiries
  • Basic understanding of sales processes, lead-to-close workflows, and order management
  • Ability to follow documented procedures accurately and consistently
  • Fundamental understanding of technical data and the ability to present it in a clear, audience-appropriate manner
  • Report generation and basic data interpretation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Secondary Knowledge / Skills

  • Exposure to BTL activities and new product promotion support
  • Awareness of inventory management and order fulfillment processes
  • Basic understanding of sales forecasting and pipeline concepts
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and support multiple stakeholders

Experience

  • Minimal or no prior work experience required
  • Entry-level role suitable for candidates beginning a career in sales support or commercial operations
