Your Team
The Investment Services Technology team is responsible for all Global Investment Services Technology projects and programs. The team closely partners with business executives and functional teams across all aspects of Invesco’s investments business, using Agile delivery methods and collaboration to provide automated and innovative solutions. This role sits in our Security & Entity Reference Data domain and data platform, serving downstream trading, risk, operations, and regulatory consumers.
Your Role
As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, enterprise‑level technology initiatives that span multiple business divisions and regions. You will blend Agile and traditional delivery practices to ensure predictable, high‑quality outcomes while driving continuous improvement and team efficiency. This is a hands‑on role: you will serve as Scrum Master for a Reference Data squad and flex as Business Analyst and Project/Program Manager as needed (requirements, data mapping/lineage, plans/RAID, vendor coordination). Initial scope focuses on Security & Entity Reference Data capabilities and the Snowflake‑based data platform.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Champion Agile delivery excellence by driving transparency, removing impediments, and ensuring continuous improvement across teams.
- Partner with Product Owners and business leaders to define scope, prioritize features, and align on business objectives.
- Lead project planning and execution, setting clear timelines, managing dependencies, and ensuring on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
- Oversee operational readiness, including change management, incident resolution, and production process controls.
- Mitigate risks and manage escalations proactively, while maintaining alignment with market/reference data vendors and third‑party partners for seamless integration.
- Work hands‑on to refine epics/stories, define acceptance criteria, and validate data quality and lineage for downstream consumers.
- Coordinate Snowflake/SQL pipelines, source onboarding (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ratings/LEI data), and controls with Data Engineering and Architecture.
- Use available AI tools (e.g., for summarization, documentation, basic analysis) to reduce manual effort and improve transparency
- Identify opportunities to apply AI‑powered dashboards for real‑time transparency and pilot predictive insights to improve planning, capacity, and risk visibility.
The Experience You Bring:
- 8+ years in technical delivery, project/program management, or business analysis within the investment management industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field from a leading university (or equivalent practical experience); advanced degree a plus
- Prior hands‑on development or data analysis/engineering (e.g., Python/SQL); able to review logic, debug queries, and validate dataset quality.
- Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, SQL, and cloud (AWS/Azure) to deliver and optimize data platform capabilities.
- Strong understanding of investment operations and financial instruments (Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives) and North American/Global regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II, SEC, FINRA).
- Proven ability to deliver data‑driven insights using Power BI/Tableau; experience with workflow/automation platforms (e.g., Appian, Blue Prism).
- Expertise leading large‑scale initiatives in Agile environments, including remote team coordination.
- Demonstrated experience serving as Scrum Master at squad level while flexing as BA (requirements, data mapping/UAT) and PM (plans, RAID, vendor management) for similar initiatives.
- Experience with Security/Entity Reference Data (identifiers, issuer/counterparty, hierarchies, corporate actions) and familiarity with security master/data management platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit EDM or similar).
- Practical experience proactively learning and applying AI‑assisted tools to streamline delivery (documentation, test design, backlog refinement, reporting/notes), with a forward‑looking mindset about how the role and team practices will evolve as enterprise AI capabilities mature.
- Skilled in cost‑benefit analysis, process documentation, and testing methodologies; exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills in a global, multicultural environment.
- Highly analytical, self‑motivated, and adaptable, with a disciplined approach to time management and continuous learning.
