- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience in designing architecture and software development.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading business critical and multi-year projects.
- Experience in building and managing distributed systems/services, and with large-scale distributed storage system.
- Experience writing high-quality C++ code, and with SOA based or Micro-services based architecture.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven track record in collaborating with multiple teams and convincing technical stakeholders.

- Participate in on-call responsibilities for the team, to ensure that existing production systems meet the set SLOs. Take ownership of and provide guidance for production incidents.
- Ensure existing infrastructure is compliant with the latest Google principles (security, performance, reliability, fault-tolerance, etc.).
- Review design documents and code developed by other engineers.
- Work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with other service teams in GCS to solve problems and drive cross-functional execution.
