The Wealth Management Analytics & Data (A&D) team within Morgan Stanley Strategy & Analytics group owns all the executive reporting, insights, and predictive modeling in support of Wealth Management, Banking, and Firmwide Marketing. We are seeking a talented, analytically driven professional to join the US Banks Analytics team within A&D. This highly collaborative group is looking for a strategic thinker with strong data and analytical skills and a passion for driving business growth.
Morgan Stanley’s U.S. Banks deliver lending, deposit, and cash management solutions for Wealth Management clients, and are responsible for developing, launching and managing innovative banking and lending services. These include home loans, securities-based loans, deposit accounts, access to a range of banking services, and a growing array of digital banking and lending capabilities. The US Banks are important contributors to both the revenue and earnings of Wealth Management and represent a significant growth opportunity for the Firm.
The ideal candidate brings intellectual curiosity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
Position Summary
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, drivers, and actionable insights related to client behavior, balances, flows, and engagement
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (Product Areas, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to address ad‑hoc analytical requests and strategic questions
- Research and answer senior management’s strategic questions and deliver data-driven solutions to complex business problems
- Drive strategic initiatives by developing analytical approaches and assessing their effectiveness and outcomes
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency through strong validation, reconciliation, and documentation practices
- Contribute to the automation and scalability of reporting and analytics processes
- Support the development of executive‑ready materials for senior leadership
Experience/Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering), supported by 3-5 years of experience in an analytics role
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and experience working with large datasets
- Strong proficiency in SQL, familiarity with Python/R, and knowledge of other analytical tools (SAS, Dataiku, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear insights and narratives
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels
- Must be highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
- Also looking for someone that enjoys challenges and has an ability to assess issues from multiple angles.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
