DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Seattle, WA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Manufacturing Needs : Perform skilled activities that directly support the manufacturing business, using appropriate tools and equipment with minimal guidance.
  • Ensure Safety Compliance : Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards by reporting hazards, using personal protective equipment, and engaging in HSE training.
  • Maintain High Quality Standards : Apply high standards of workmanship, support equipment uptime, and perform quality inspections to ensure product excellence.
  • Optimize Equipment Performance : Conduct preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Promote a Safe Work Environment : Recognize and correct hazards, promote interdependence among colleagues, and minimize environmental impact through safe practices.
  • Enhance Process Efficiency : Work with peers to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate Effectively : Maintain clear communication with your team and support staff, ensuring smooth operations and collaboration.
  • Contribute to Team Development : Participate in training and personal development and actively engage with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams to improve quality, safety, and processes.

  • Manufacturing Knowledge : Apply your understanding of manufacturing processes to implement changes that meet functional needs and drive continuous improvement.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information

  • Technicians wanted to join our First Mode division.
  • First Mode is a fast-paced, clean-tech business working on hybrid technology for use in large-haul mining.
  • Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years’ experience in prototyping/non-standard production environments.
  • Preference given to self-starters used to helping develop build processes for new emerging technology products.

Compensation (for United States)

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
