Senior Administrator works under the general supervision of Team Leader / Assistant Manager in the reconciliation group. Responsible for performing cash and position reconciliations for Investment Books of Records (IBOR), Accounting Books of Records (ABOR) and Order Management Systems (OMS) with Custodians, Counterparties and Brokers for Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives products by utilizing various industry leading applications. He/She must perform extensive research about exceptions and interact with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve reconciliation exceptions.
This position requires a self-motivated individual, exercising independent judgement in the fast paced, deadline driven, and regulated environment.
Your Role
As Senior Administrator
- Perform cash and positions reconciliations between internal and external data sets, research and resolve discrepancies within established deadlines
- Research reconciliation discrepancies on IBOR, ABOR and OMS on a timely manner and assist in resolution
- Ensure reconciliation procedures are adhered to while performing reconciliations
- Ensure timely escalation of reconciliation exceptions to relevant stakeholders following set guidelines
- Monitor cash levels on assigned portfolios to report any overdrawn positions
- Accurate and timely processing of cash flows onto respective IBOR and OMS systems
- Assist team members in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing reconciliation reports
- Review all reconciliations performed by assigned team members
- Maintain and update documentation on reconciliation procedures
- Proactively contribute ideas, participate, and execute process improvement initiatives
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and rollout support on upgrade/enhancement of applications used in daily operation
- Maintain and update fact sheets which provide details of custodians, counterparties, and internal stakeholders
- Build strong business relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide process related trainings
The Experience You Bring
- 4-6 Years of knowledge on global capital markets and has preferably worked in Portfolio Reconciliations and Middle Office in Investment Services area
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment and take sound decisions
- Ability to analyze numerical data with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on MS Excel
- Should be team player and contribute towards creating a cohesive environment
- Willingness to participate in the development and enhancement of the process
- Staggered shift work is required on a rotational basis and as defined by manager to provide global business coverage depending on project, assignment, or daily activities
- Normal office environment with no exposure to noise, dust, and temperatures
- Participate in Business Recovery testing on an as-needed basis as defined by manager.
- Overtime, off hours support and travel may be required
Academic requirements
- BCOM, MCOM, MBA and any professional qualification with Finance as the major Specialization.
- Any additional certifications or training related to Capital Market and Investment Banking operations will be a plus.
