DESCRIPTION
Under minimal supervision and in accordance with Cummins Delegation of Authority Policy, the Supply Chain Coordinator – Level III uses statistical analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and validated planning parameters to disaggregate demand plans and determine optimal inventory levels. The role aligns supply plans with demand plans, drives stability across the supply chain, and ensures delivery of customer requirements through effective materials planning, inventory optimization, and performance monitoring.
This role supports global operations and requires working during US business hours.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Reports all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
- Complies with Cummins HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Actively participates in required HSE training and initiatives.
Quality
- Follows standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures.
- Performs quality checks on system planning parameters such as min/max levels, reorder points, tracking signals, and segmentation.
- Supports and maintains Plan for Every Part (PFEP) compliance.
Supply Chain Planning & Delivery
- Performs detailed supply and demand analysis, identifying risks and gaps over a 12-month horizon.
- Monitors demand and inventory signals to identify abnormal trends impacting the supply schedule.
- Runs planning parameter simulations to evaluate KPI impact and prepares executive-level and detailed analytical reports.
- Implements approved planning parameter and forecast adjustments at detailed levels to align with aggregate demand plans.
- Takes ownership of disaggregated demand plans, supply plans, and inventory plans to support end-customer requirements.
- Supports data gathering and analysis through primary and secondary research.
- Remains flexible and performs additional responsibilities as required to meet business goals.

- Applies PFEP principles across master data, planning parameters, engineered material flows, transportation, and warehouse management.
- Inventory Management & Optimization:
- Uses analytics to optimize inventory investment across end-to-end supply chains while considering constraints.
- Develops inventory strategies aligned with Cummins’ enterprise objectives.
- Materials KPI Management:
- Interprets KPIs to assess supply chain performance and customer impact.
- Balances trade-offs to improve one metric while minimizing impact to others.
- Network Master Supply Planning:
- Uses statistical analysis and cross-functional collaboration to balance long-term supply and demand while stabilizing the supply chain.
Experience
- 4 to 6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or logistics.
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with planning tools such as Xelus, GOMS, or other ERP/MRP systems .
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills using Excel, Access, BI dashboards , or similar tools.
- Experience working with US-based operations or night-shift environments is an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business , or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required where applicable regulations apply.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts aligned with US business hours .
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.
