The primary role of Regulatory Governance as part of the Regulatory Controllers department is to act as a first line of defence for Regulatory Reporting, ensuring that risks, issues and control deficiencies which impact the production of accurate and timely regulatory reports to the regulators are identified, reported
and resolved. This team sits within the wider Regulatory Controllers team who are responsible for producing the periodic regulatory reports as well as providing capital/leverage analysis to senior management and business units.
We're seeking someone to join our Regulatory Governance team as a Director in Global Corporate Controllers and Planning to act as a first line of defence for Regulatory Reporting, ensuring that risks, issues and control deficiencies which impact the production of accurate and timely regulatory reports to
the regulators are identified, reported and resolved.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Director level position.
What will you be doing?
- Partner with Regulatory Control teams, Change Management, Data, and IT teams to ensure prioritisation of resources for regulatory compliance and issue resolution
- Assess changes in internal and external compliance standards and define requirements for Regulatory Control
- Collaborate with partners in Finance and across the Firm to drive implementation of requirements, perform risk assessments, and enhance the Regulatory Control governance framework
- Monitor regulatory initiatives, and ensure escalation of any risks and delays to Regulatory Control management
- Develop collaborative working relationships with regulatory functions and stakeholders to assist in delivery of projects
- Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standard
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- A regulatory, financial control, or project management background gained in the Financial Services Industry, with experience of delivering small to medium scale initiatives
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Ability to work independently, and identify and escalate risks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Experience of Capital/Leverage Regulatory calculation and reporting would be preferable but not mandatory
- Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to collaborate and build consensus
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications, with experience at preparing PowerPoint presentation suitable for Senior Management/ Regulator meetings
