Job description

As an Automation Associate Manager at Stryker, you will lead a team driving efficiency and innovation across the organization by contributing to the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of automation solutions. In this role, you will conceptualize, design, develop, and implement Automation initiatives while providing essential technical leadership. Leveraging technologies such as RPA (UiPath) and Power Platform, you will build scalable, stable, and secure automation solutions aligned with business needs and operational efficiency goals. Your combined expertise in automation and leadership will guide and inspire cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery. You will also lead comprehensive automation strategies, support governance frameworks, and provide technical direction and mentorship within the automation domain to help advance organizational objectives. 

What will you do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee the organization-wide automation strategy to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.  

  • Governance and Compliance: Establish and lead governance for automation, setting best practices and policies focused on security and compliance. Ensure all initiatives meet both internal standards and external regulatory requirements. 

  • Solution Architecture: Design and implement stable, scalable, and secure automation solutions. Proactively address architectural deficiencies to enhance solution robustness.  

  • Development and Implementation: Develop, test, and implement automation solutions adhering to software development lifecycle best practices. 

  • Quality Assurance, Security, and Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing and risk management to ensure functional integrity and data security. 

  • Documentation and Change Management: Create and update critical governance documents, standards, and procedures. Manage documentation effectively to facilitate minimal disruption and enhance team capabilities. 

  • Auditing and Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular audits and continuous monitoring of automation solutions, enhancing them based on performance data and user feedback to ensure compliance, efficiency, and error-free operation. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, managing communications and stakeholder interactions. 

  • Professional Development and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest developments and features of the automation tools and recommend improvements to existing solutions.   

 

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • +6 years of experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing automation solutions with platforms like UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, coupled with a strong foundation in software development and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, .NET, C#. 

  • At least 2 years of experience in leading automation teams, specifically with a demonstrated proficiency in UiPath and Microsoft Power Platform. 

  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Any other language is a plus. 

  • Certifications in UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, or similar technologies are highly regarded. 

  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and security best practices for UiPath and Power Platform. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 

  • Demonstrated ability in agile environments to translate business requirements into functional specifications, leading to efficient and effective implementation of automation projects throughout the software development life cycle. 

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement, problem decomposition, and code analysis to deliver creative automation solutions. 

  • Ability to learn new automation tools and technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements and environments.
