KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: What you will do:

Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management & Influence


Act as a trusted advisor to US R&D leaders, ensuring alignment of priorities and expectations.
Build authentic relationships across global teams to foster collaboration and trust.
Represent the capability center in leadership forums, providing insights and recommendations that enable decision-making.
Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively address challenges to maintain confidence and credibility.
Communicate the value of capability center contributions to influence strategic outcomes.


Enablement & Operational Excellence


Ensure capability center delivers high-quality engineering support for product development programs owned by US leadership.
Drive process efficiency and standardization to improve speed, quality, and scalability of operations.
Implement governance frameworks, SOPs, and quality assurance measures to maintain compliance and operational rigor.
Monitor performance metrics and optimize resource allocation to meet evolving business needs.
Oversee planning and execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.


Culture & Leadership
Champion an inclusive, high-performance culture that reflects Stryker’s values.
Act as a unifying force during organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and employee engagement.
Promote psychological safety and collaboration, enabling teams to innovate and excel.

Talent Development & Mentorship
Mentor and coach managers to strengthen leadership capabilities and succession planning.
Create opportunities for emerging leaders to grow and take on expanded responsibilities.
Drive initiatives for skill development and career progression within the capability center.


Digital Transformation
Lead modernization of processes, tools, and workflows to enable digital-first operations.
Introduce automation and data-driven practices to enhance productivity and decision-making.
Partner with global teams to integrate advanced technologies that support product development lifecycle.


Communication Excellence
Serve as a clear, persuasive communicator who can influence across levels and geographies.
Translate complex technical and operational concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Ensure transparency and consistency in messaging during change initiatives and strategic updates.

  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and engineering processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need (must have):

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering/ computer science or related discipline & 18+ years of work experience.
