DESCRIPTION
Under minimal supervision and in accordance with Cummins Delegation of Authority Policy, the Supply Chain Coordinator – Level III uses statistical analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and validated planning parameters to disaggregate demand plans and determine optimal inventory levels. The role aligns supply plans with demand plans to ensure supply chain stability while supporting end-customer requirements.
This position provides operational support during US business hours and requires working in the night shift (5:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST) . Cummins offers night shift allowance and pickup & drop transportation facilities (within PMC & PCMC jurisdiction).
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Reports any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
- Complies with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participates in mandatory HSE training programs.
Quality
- Follows standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures.
- Performs quality checks on system planning parameters such as min/max inventory levels, reorder points, tracking signals, and segmentation.
- Takes corrective action to support Plan for Every Part (PFEP) .
Delivery & Supply Planning
- Coordinates with internal and external suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Processes, monitors, and expedites supplier orders as required.
- Performs supply and demand analysis, identifying risks and concerns for the next 12 months.
- Aligns disaggregate demand plans with aggregate demand plans through approved forecast adjustments.
- Monitors abnormal demand or inventory signals and adjusts planning parameters upon approval.
- Runs simulation scenarios to analyze KPI impact and prepares executive and detailed reports.
- Owns and maintains the demand plan, supply plan, and inventory plan to meet customer needs.
Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Conducts metrics analysis and reporting.
- Supports planning tools and systems including Kinaxis, GOMS , and aftermarket material planning systems.
- Assists in gathering and compiling data through primary and secondary research.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, process efficiency, and material flow.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience as permitted by applicable regulations.

- Inventory Management & Optimization – Uses analytics to optimize inventory investment while balancing constraints such as service levels and warehouse capacity.
- Materials KPI Management – Interprets KPIs, assesses performance gaps, and balances trade-offs to drive supply chain improvements.
- Network Master Supply Planning – Aligns long-term supply and demand plans to meet financial and service objectives while stabilizing the supply chain.
Experience
- 5–7 years of relevant work experience preferred .
- Experience in materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, inventory control, or a related supply chain discipline.
- Prior exposure to aftermarket planning, metrics reporting, and advanced planning tools is highly desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS
This role is to offer support in the US time zone and hence incumbent needs to operate in Night Shift (5PM to 2AM IST). At SCS&A we offer Night Shift allowance & Pickup and Drop facilities (within PMC & PCMC jurisdiction)to all employees working in this shift.
The role specific requirements are as below –
•Coordination with internal or external supplier base and stakeholders across various functions
•Processing and monitoring orders against suppliers
• Work towards meeting the supply plan
• Monitor and make adjustments to the planned and release procurement signals and expedite as necessary
• Metrics analysis & Reporting. Experience in Kinaxis , GOMS and aftermarket material planning.
