The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across Citigroup’s Markets, Services, Banking, and Operations & Technology. ISG implements state of the art technologies and operational processes which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account, corporate action, financial, documents, calendar/holiday data. The ISG organization has a very diverse portfolio of clients and works in partnership with them to deploy solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.
The Price and Calendar technology team is responsible for building the next generation price and holiday data platform supporting the bank’s books and records, and businesses vertically across over 300 downstream consumers. This involves end to end responsibilities from data modeling, application design, data integration / analysis and working with the business partners and vendor data feeds for implementation. Product, Price, and Calendar reference data is critical to the bank and must be available, accurate, and complete for global financial markets and the bank’s regulatory commitments.
The Technical Business Analyst (Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst - C12) will play a key leadership role in the design and build out of the Price and Holiday Master Central enterprise data platforms, which is aiming to create a unified framework and aligned operational processes to ensure Citi’s regulatory obligations are met and sustainable going forward, across all impacted Legal Entities, Business lines and regional regulators. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of database design, SQL, and mastery of data analytic skillsets in both qualitative and quantitative against large and complex data structure.
Responsibilities:
Perform analysis on large datasets to determine their quality, coverage, and complexity.
Design and drive execution of accurate and reliable database and application modeling.
Normalize disparate data sets into a common logical model.
Independently query data from multiple relational databases for analysis.
Work directly with Technology, Operations, Finance and Business partners to successfully deliver complex projects leveraging our enterprise reference data platform.
Create BRD and FRD, translating business logic into functional requirements.
Articulate business concepts and expected functional behavior to developers and engage senior stakeholders.
Create comprehensive use cases for testing.
Provide guidance to the local teams on technical challenges and client communication.
Project management, implementation, and testing plans.
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant professional experience in a hands-on role as a technical business analyst
Expert SQL knowledge with minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience, ability to run analysis and complex SQLs against large sets of data is a must.
Experience with Oracle DBMS if preferred
Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Extensive experience working with large data sets
Knowledge of Capital Markets and funds financial products, including price and security reference data, and process
Strong database design and modeling knowledge, good understanding of data integrity and normalization
Experience managing the full project cycle for complex business deliverables, including translating client logic into functional requirements, writing FRDs/BRDs, working with the technology teams to ensure accurate implementation, and partner with business for user acceptance testing and production go-live
Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

$96,960.00 - $145,440.00
