This is a Lead Workplace Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing the technical environment and end-user experience across various workplace technologies, ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction across the organization.

Role Overview

The End User Content Solutions (EUCS) squad designs, delivers, and supports enterprise SaaS platforms including Box, Google Workspace, Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms, and SIMPL—Morgan Stanley’s internal SaaS onboarding and management platform.

As the EUCS Lead Engineer, you will provide technical and people leadership for the squad, driving platform reliability, secure integrations, and roadmap execution. You will partner closely with internal engineering teams and SaaS vendors while remaining hands-on in modern cloud development. You will champion continuous improvement through automation, DevOps practices, and AI-driven enhancements to improve user experience and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the EUCS engineering squad, ensuring high-quality delivery and operational excellence.

• Own the development and maintenance of cloud-based tooling and services using .NET /.NET Core, or Python.

• Provide technical leadership for SaaS integrations, onboarding, and secure access solutions.

• Act as primary escalation point for complex production issues and vendor engagements.

• Ensure compliance with change management, security, and operational standards.

• Collaborate closely with security, LDAP, web proxy, networking, authentication & authorization, and engineering teams.

• Lead the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and automation.

• Participate on-call and escalated support to maintain service quality.

• Maintain accurate production, implementation, and operational documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of application development experience using .NET, C#, and/or Python.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions.

• Deep knowledge of SaaS and cloud platforms such as Box, Google Workspace, Qualtrics, and Office 365.

• Strong experience with OAuth, SAML, and enterprise identity integrations.

• Expertise in building SaaS onboarding, lifecycle management, and automation tooling.

• Proficiency with Git-based version control and DevOps best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

•Demonstrated leadership within Agile delivery frameworks.

•Familiar with Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP

• Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Podman, Kubernetes).

•Familiar with Treadmill infrastructure and configuration.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
