This is a Lead Workplace Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing the technical environment and end-user experience across various workplace technologies, ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction across the organization.

Role Overview
The End User Content Solutions (EUCS) squad designs, delivers, and supports enterprise SaaS platforms including Box, Google Workspace, Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms, and SIMPL—Morgan Stanley’s internal SaaS onboarding and lifecycle management platform. The squad plays a critical role in providing secure, scalable, and compliant external and internal collaboration platforms across the firm.
As a hands-on Lead Engineer in the EUCS squad, you will lead the SME group while remaining deeply involved in design and implementation. You will collaborate with the Product Owner, SaaS vendors, and internal engineering teams to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable SaaS integrations, and to execute a forward-looking platform roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and people leadership for the EUCS engineering squad.
Own cloud-based tooling and services, include SaaS application onboarding, integration solution design, tooling development, documents update, production support, and oncall escalation.
Improve platform reliability through automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Act as escalation point for complex production issues and vendor coordination.
Ensure compliance with risk, security, change management, and operational standards.
Required Skills
10+ years of application development experience with .NET and C#.
Deep expertise in enterprise SaaS and cloud platforms (e.g., Box, Google Workspace, Qualtrics, Microsoft 365), including onboarding, lifecycle management, and automation.
Strong experience with enterprise authentication and identity integrations, including OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, with hands-on experience in web proxy and load-balancing technologies.
Experience using GenAI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, GPT, Gemini, or Grok.
Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills for complex environments.
Clear, confident communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
Familiar with Github/Copilot environment, proficient with Git-based version control and DevOps best practices.
Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Podman, Kubernetes).
Demonstrated leadership within Agile delivery frameworks.
Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
A continuous-improvement mindset, with interest in automation and AI-driven innovation.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
