The Senior Patient Access Representative is responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person.  Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into a electronic medical record.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collects demographic and insurance information

  • Documents any issues and resolutions in electronic medical record

  • Uses resources, tools and procedures to complete registration for complex accounts

  • Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results focusing on complex billing situations

  • Obtains cost information and explains information to patient if necessary

  • Collects co-pay or deductibles

  • Assists and counsels patient with application process for available financial assistance programs

  • Assists patient with setting up payment plans or connecting with resources for outstanding balances

  • Uses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of revenue cycle experience in a hospital/healthcare setting 

  • 2+ years of customer service experience

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

  • Ability to work 8:30am-5:00pm CST Monday-Friday

  • Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic medical records

  • Patient Access and/or Financial Counseling experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
