We are looking for a talented Maintenance Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Master Rebuild Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Increase equipment availability and reliability: Performing effective preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, ensuring machines are safe, capable, and production‑ready.
  • Protect people, plant, and the environment: Strictly adhering to HSE standards, stopping unsafe work, reporting hazards, and proactively correcting risks within your control.
  • Deliver high‑quality workmanship: Following diagrams, manuals, specifications, and quality procedures, and by conducting inspections that prevent defects and rework.
  • Support continuous equipment improvement: Accurate fault‑finding, downtime failure analysis, and providing meaningful feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.
  • Enable production success: Scheduling maintenance around operational requirements, identifying and reducing manufacturing constraints, and responding quickly to unplanned failures.
  • Improve efficiency and cost control: Raising issues early, minimizing quality and cost exposures, and contributing to smarter maintenance and process decisions.
  • Strengthen team performance and TPM outcomes: Communicating effectively, collaborating with support teams, and actively participating in Total Productive Maintenance initiatives.
  • Grow capability and sustainability: Engaging in ongoing training, applying safe energy‑isolation practices, maintaining clean work areas, and continuously improving processes and skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong maintenance and fault‑finding capability: Ability to respond to emergency callouts, perform minor mechanical repairs, and carry out first‑line fault finding to minimize production downtime and support equipment reliability.
  • Consistent preventive maintenance discipline:Competence in executing routine inspections, basic preventative maintenance, and documentation to meet PM compliance targets and sustain plant performance.
  • Safety‑first mindset with solid controls knowledge: Actively champion health and safety by recognizing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic hazards, applying safe work practices, and contributing to an interdependent, injury‑free culture.
  • Manufacturing awareness and continuous improvement focus:Understanding of manufacturing processes to implement changes effectively, maintain high housekeeping standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
