What you’ll do in the role:

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Lead Infrastructure Product Management & Site Reliability Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia to support and maintain data infrastructure applications, including data integration and virtualization systems. Address day-to-day infrastructure and user incidents, escalations, and technical troubleshooting as well as server application deployments, task automation, and documentation procedures. Work on application and end-user services that are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure. Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Implement and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines to ensure smooth and rapid deployment of applications. Monitor system performance and reliability and implement observability practices to detect and resolve issues proactively. Write and maintain configuration management scripts to ensure consistent and reliable system configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve common networking issues to maintain optimal network performance. Optimize database performance through tuning and maintenance activities. Administer cloud infrastructure and virtualization environments to support scalable and flexible IT operations. Utilize IT service management tools to handle incident, change, problem, asset, and configuration management, ensuring efficient service delivery. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) days per week.

What you’ll bring to the role:

-Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field of study

-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Technology System Engineer, Software Engineer, Network Engineer, or a closely related occupation.

-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:

  • programming languages including
    • Python,
    • Bash,
    • shell scripting;
  • continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools including
    • Git,
    • Jenkins;
  • observability tools for white and black box monitoring, including
    • Grafana,
    • Splunk,
    • Prometheus;
  • using and writing Ansible playbooks;
  • troubleshooting common networking issues;
  • database tuning and optimization;
  • cloud infrastructure management and VMware virtualization;
  • using ServiceNow and PagerDuty for incident, change, problem, asset, and configuration management; and
  • supporting various methodologies for issue tracking, bug reporting, task management, and workflow customization using tools including Jira.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $174,000 and $174,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
