DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate or direct supervision.

We are looking for a talented Service Parts Associate to join our Distribution business in (Sumner, WA).

This role will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures while using required personal protective equipment
  • Perform customer parts counter duties, including answering parts calls, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, completing paperwork, and processing cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers by addressing needs and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Escalate customer concerns to senior parts personnel or supervisors when appropriate
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional customer parts area and warehouse
  • Support other parts personnel with complex parts requests or identifying alternative solutions
  • Utilize systems, catalogs, and available resources while collaborating with technicians to source parts efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Identify opportunities to upsell related products and services when appropriate
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including inventory management, stock level control, shipping and receiving, warehouse activities, and core processing

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, and cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of order processing and order life cycle systems
  • Experience managing inventory using warehouse inventory control methods
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, report generation, and general computer systems
  • Action-oriented mindset with a focus on accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Appreciation for diverse perspectives and inclusive collaboration
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Some relevant work experience or intermediate knowledge gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience
  • Ability to comply with export control or sanctions regulations, if required

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to effectively interact with the general public and service technicians. Proficient in researching and selling parts in a fast-paced environment, and able to collaborate effectively within a team.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
