We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Senior Software Engineering Specialist to lead the development of our API Inventory platform, integrating data from diverse build and runtime environments and standardizing information across different sources. Most development will be in Java and Python, with opportunities for front-end work in HTML and JavaScript.

What you'll do in the role:

• Leading a small team of consultants to engineer the technical Inventory solution

• Work with Security & Infrastructure teams to integrate discovery sources into API Inventory

• Provide support to other teams to integrate into the API Inventory

• Establish Key Risk Indicator metrics for API Inventory and presenting them in risk management forums

• Oversee operational support for Inventory activities including API registration by system owners and developers

What you'll bring to the role:

• Experience or demonstrable ability to design enterprise software systems

• Confident demonstrating proficiency and knowledge in the tools and programming language (Java, Spring, JavaScript, Python)

• Enthusiasm in any language/toolchain with a willingness to explore and develop in Java and other languages as the project and team decides

• Understanding of OpenAPI (Swagger), REST APIs, API Gateways

• Interest in pragmatic and practical Software Engineering

• Interest in Systems Architecture, Architecture Decision Records is desirable

• Knowledge of Technology Risk Management and familiarity with Software Asset Management is a plus

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to various audiences

• Practical delivery mindset and ability to deliver quality software in an incremental fashion in dynamic environment
