Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive application functionality, configuration and support expertise for application software solutions; works with business analysts, architects, technical experts and software vendors on the solution requirements, design, configuration, functionality gap resolution, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Assists in the analysis and evaluation of application functionality. Documents recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities. Contributes to the determination and documentation of optimum application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements and specifications. Configures and verifies application setup and configuration. Develops expertise in emerging application and solution trends and functionality. Provides functional recommendations for assigned applications and systems. Contributes to the analysis of potential application solutions, Able to document recommended solutions to address functionality gaps in the application. Works with vendors to improve application functionality and resolve functionality issues. Documents and reviews functional, architecture and technical requirements and designs for process owners, business analysts, and architects. Contributes knowledge and serves as a contact resource for content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with assigned applications for projects and application support (as needed). Documents functional specifications for a given project from which programs and configurations will be applied to create the program, application, or complete solution.

Solution Design - Creates and defines the solution design complete with instrumentation and measurement, using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to synthesize diagrams, models and documentation in order to build a solution that meets buildability, business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

Solution Functional Fit Analysis - Composes and decomposes a system into its component parts using procedures, tools and work aides for the purpose of studying how well the component parts were designed, purchased and configured to interact holistically to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

Solution Modeling - Creates, designs and formulates models, diagrams and documentation using industry standards, tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements.

Solution Validation Testing - Validates a configuration item change or solution using the Function's defined best practices, including the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards, tools and metrics, to ensure that it works as designed and meets customer requirements.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Overall experience of 2-5 years, with a minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

We are looking for a talented Oracle Planning IT Solution Engineer join our team specializing in IT for our CUMMINS in Corporate Supply Chain IT team at Pune India

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Responsible for delivering and implementing the Supply Chain Advanced Planning solutions to different plants globally. This is a multi-year program aiming to Transformation and deliver Integrated Supply Chain planning functions on modern technology such as Oracle advanced supply chain planning, Oracle planning cloud etc.
  • Responsible for helping to lead the IT solutions delivered by Corporate Supply Chain IT to enable our manufacturing sites to enhance supply chain planning capabilities.
  • Partners with process owners, stakeholders, and enterprise architects to gather, document and review functional, architecture and technical requirements
  • Evaluates Oracle Supply Planning Cloud application functionality and provides solution recommendations to improve business processes, capabilities, and deliver proven value to Cummins
  • Defines optimum application setup, high-level and detailed technical solution designs
  • Configure and verify Oracle Planning Cloud to meet functional Supply Planning requirements and specifications
  • Design and oversee the development of integration customizations, workflows, and extensions
  • Serves as a planning specialist and point of contact on content, processes, procedures and functionality associated with Oracle Planning Cloud
  • Expected to travel to the USA mostly and globally during UAT and Go- live phase of implementation.

*Qualification and competencies

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Experience in Supply chain planning domain with sound understanding of system architecture and data involved.
  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to lead and driven solutions that involved multi-IT teams which were both technical and complex.
  • Communication skills both spoken and written, must be strong as you will be presenting to Supply Chain and site leaders and be comfortable working in detail as well as at a strategy and executive summary level.
  • Availability to travel globally 10% of the time

Mandatory Skills:

Oracle Supply Planning (ASCP, APCC or Cloud) – Functional and Technical

Experience in IT system analysis, requirement management and design

Oracle Supply chain (Order Management, Purchasing, Work in process, Bills of material)

Agile methodology

Experience working in IT Consulting Services companies strongly desired

Experience:

  • Experience of 2-3 years in Oracle Planning Cloud or ASCP/APCC implementations (specifically Supply Planning, but demand and sales & operating planning knowledge highly beneficial)
  • System analysis and design experience is required. This should include the creation of functional requirements for enterprise-level business application solutions involving multi-tier client/server, database, or web-based applications.
  • Experience in the full software development lifecycle process.
  • Functional domain knowledge should include supply planning software applications and along with technical domain knowledge.
  • Certification in Oracle Planning & Collaboration Implementation Cloud and Certification in Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning is highly beneficial
  • Experiencing delivering solutions via AGILE methodologies is preferred.
