As an Electronic Communications & Discovery Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that Invesco complies with the global regulatory requirements and its own policy for electronic communications. You will design, implement, test, and troubleshoot the systems and processes that capture, store, and monitor all forms of electronic communication used in a business context, including email, chat, SMS, social media, voice, and video communication. You will also use the tools and features that enable the search, review, analysis, and export of electronic communication data for compliance, legal, and audit purposes. You will work closely with the compliance, legal, and audit teams to support the preservation, collection, and production of electronic communication data in response to regulatory requests, investigations, and litigation.
Your Role
The Archive & Discovery Engineer is primarily responsible for project delivery pertaining to archiving and journaling solutions for electronic communication.
The incumbent will focus on improving the state of Archiving, Journaling and Monitoring of these solutions.
Understand the financial services requirements for electronic communication captures across all applications, including the regulatory standards, best practices, and industry trends.
Protect the confidentiality and integrity of the electronic communication system, including ensuring the security and privacy of the electronic communication data and preventing unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Act ethically and professionally in all electronic communication, including avoiding any inappropriate, offensive, or misleading content, as well as any conflicts of interest, insider trading, or market manipulation.
Comply with the regulatory recordkeeping requirements, including retaining, archiving, and producing the electronic communication data according to the applicable laws and regulations.
Follow Invesco's policies and procedures, including adhering to the approved applications and platforms for electronic communication, reporting any violations or issues, and cooperating with the compliance, legal, and audit teams.
You will be responsible for:
Analyze requirements, design, build and test solutions and enhancements.
Take ownership of project assignments and deliver a successful implementation.
Participate in the meetings pertaining to new build activities.
Engage with the team and have a detailed plan for new and ongoing projects.
Act as a coordinator/ implementer for assigned project activity.
Identify improvements that can be made to the team and drive the efforts.
Assist with streamlining, simplification, and in general improvement of systems’ efficiencies through the effective use of technology, lateral thinking, and creativity.
Contribute to the migration of on-premises applications to cloud solutions
Collaborate with other Technology teams to deliver world-class services from a Technology Infrastructure standpoint.
Coach and mentor, the Operations team such that they are ready to own and support new services.
Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems.
The Experience You Bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in electronic communications compliance, archiving, and discovery in the financial services industry.
Possess strong working experience on –
Journaling and Archiving Solutions with a focus in the financial industryFinancial services requirements for electronic communication captures across all applications including eDiscovery and Surveillance Solutions
Enterprise Vault Archiving, Journaling, and working knowledge of Discovery and Compliance Accelerator
3rd Party Connectors to capture all forms of electronic communication including but not limited to email, chat, SMS mobile.
