The Mergers & Acquisitions team (M&A) is responsible for structuring and executing a wide range of complex transactions, working in close partnership with the industry coverage groups, including (but not limited to) Healthcare, Consumer & Retail and Industrials.
We are seeking expressions of interest for a potential upcoming Associate level role to join our M&A team based in Sydney. You will be a key member of the team, executing a diverse range of M&A transactions and supporting business development across both private and public markets. This role will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders, senior bankers and clients, and overseeing analysts.
Primary responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities include managing day-to-day execution for M&A transactions
Provide guidance to analysts on financial modelling, financial and industry analysis
Preparation of external marketing materials and internal reporting documents
Quality check and taking ownership of work done by analysts
Participating in day-to-day project management together with clients and other working parties, including lawyers and accountants
Preparing and delivering client presentations, with a clear and compelling approach
Skills required:
At least 3+ years of IBD work experience with proven record in executing/leading M&A transactions from other financial institutions (candidates from sector coverage teams with M&A transaction experience will also be considered)
Excellent academic background with a proven track record of success
Strong quantitative, analytical and modeling skills with sound knowledge of financial, accounting and operational concepts
Commitment to excellence and delivery of highest quality work product
Strong team player
