Job Summary
The Sales Operations Coordinator – Level I supports the sales organization through reporting, system administration, and structured data analysis activities. Working under close supervision and established procedures, this role ensures accurate data handling, timely reporting, and reliable support to help the sales force make informed decisions and operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Forecast Support
- Run routine and well-documented sales reports with guidance from supervisors.
- Gather and consolidate data using established templates to support forecasting and planning activities.
- Assist in maintaining consistency and accuracy of sales performance data.
System Administration
- Perform repetitive, clearly defined tasks within sales systems and tools (e.g., Salesforce, WWSPS, BMS, customer portals).
- Support data quality checks by reviewing user-entered information according to defined procedures.
- Assist in maintaining system accuracy and resolving basic data discrepancies.
Data Analysis (Internal & External)
- Conduct structured, repetitive analyses using external data sources (e.g., market and industry databases).
- Support opportunity research through secondary data analysis.
- Collect competitive intelligence from secondary sources under supervision.
- Assist with internal sales analyses such as variance reviews, projections, costing inputs, and bundled offer comparisons.

Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education in business, commerce, analytics, or a related field is advantageous.
- May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Skills & Experience
General (Internal & External Candidates)
- Minimal or no prior work experience required.
- Basic understanding of reporting and data handling concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to follow structured processes with attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in sales operations, analytics, or business systems.
- Graduation is required in Science, Technical, Commerce (except BA) and above.
- Around 5 years’ experience of Handed Govt. account (preferably handled Rail account) and awareness of working on Govt. Portals
- High awareness of MS office, Salesforce, Oracle and experience with other software-based sales and business tools desired.
- Govt. Customer Sale understanding, technical sales awareness to work upon Techno-Commercial offer and P&L
- Willingness to travel on daily basis and work closely with officials
- Well versed with tenders, railways process, commercial terms & risk management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional Scope for Internal Candidates (Government & Institutional Sales Support)
- Experience supporting government accounts (preferably railways or other public sector customers).
- Familiarity with working on government procurement portals and tendering systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, Oracle, and other enterprise sales or business tools.
- Understanding of government sales processes, techno-commercial proposals, and basic P&L concepts.
- Knowledge of tendering procedures, commercial terms, and risk management practices.
- Willingness to travel locally and work closely with government officials and institutional stakeholders.
