We are looking for a talented Warranty Quality Manager to join our team in Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV): Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies in MI, Galesburg.

Job Summary:

Manages a Warranty Quality team in the areas of adjudication, audit, administration, process, systems support across or specific to a Business Unit (BU) or Area Business Organization (ABO), according to the terms of the warranty manual, coverages, or warranty contracts applicable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Expert Warranty & Quality Leadership: Deep understanding of end‑to‑end warranty processes, contract requirements, payment decision governance, and the ability to resolve complex escalations while meeting time, financial, and compliance targets.
  • Strong Analytical & Continuous Improvement Capability: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, drive cross‑functional solutions, and lead ongoing improvements in tools, systems, and processes—including analytics, cost reconciliation, and system testing.
  • People Leadership & Talent Development: Skill in selecting, coaching, and developing a high‑performing warranty team; assigning work effectively; providing clear feedback; and building capability aligned with Quality 4.0 and Destination Zero.
  • Strategic Execution & Cross‑Functional Influence: Capacity to innovate processes, meet KPIs, support global service provider certification, and collaborate across functions to prioritize improvements and deliver consistent, customer‑focused outcomes.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Significant relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, required.

QUALIFICATIONS

This role will be an employee of the Eaton Cummins Joint Venture: Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies.

The role will primarily support Warranty, Supplier Quality, and supplier recovery for the Eaton Cummins JV transmission business. This role will focus on working with ECJV's global team. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Primary facing Quality and Warranty resources with extensive reporting and review activities with our key OEMs, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Tracking and reporting of KPI's for warranty, quality, and supplier recovery.
  • Issue and lead project updates shared, digitally and in person across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Internal coordination across multiple functions to support our customers (Engineering, Service, Operations and commercial teams).

Important skills required for success in this role include:

  • Strong Communication skills - written, verbal, for both informal and formal forums required. Experience with the communication of technical issues is helpful.
  • Problem Solving across a variety of products and mid-level understanding of ECJV products are helpful.
  • Customer-facing conflict resolution experience helpful.
  • Familiarity with Quality tools, including digital tools and processes helpful. Experience with Weibull analysis, PowerBI reporting and C360 tools preferred.

The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
