Role overview
The R2R Manager – FSSC Americas is responsible for leading Record-to-Report operations within the Finance Shared Services Center, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple countries in the region.
This role operates within a Shared Services / GBS model and focuses on the execution, standardization, and continuous improvement of core accounting processes, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial close cycles.
The position requires a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise, operational rigor, and the ability to manage high-performing teams in a multi-country, matrixed environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the R2R team across the Americas (approx. 25–30 reports) within the Shared Services structure
- Own end-to-end close cycles (month, quarter, year), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee core R2R processes: GL, intercompany, fixed assets, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Drive process standardization and alignment across countries within the FSSC model
- Partner with local finance teams and controllers to ensure operational alignment
- Lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives
- Monitor KPIs related to close cycle efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery
Requirements
- Strong R2R / accounting operations experience within SSC or GBS environments
- Solid technical accounting knowledge (GL, close cycles, reconciliations, intercompany)
- Experience applying IFRS and/or US GAAP in multinational environments
- Proven experience managing multi-country operations and partnering with controllers
- Hands-on leadership experience managing medium to large teams
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and strong Excel skills
- Track record of driving process improvements and standardization initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in matrixed environments
Nice to have
- Experience in large-scale Shared Services transformations or migrations
- Exposure to process automation tools or continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience working in highly standardized global operating models
