A requirements analyst is the person who elicits, analyzes, validates, and manages the requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties:
- Serve as the key interface between the users and the project manager they gather information, document processes, and confirm the final documents with users
- Elicit the requirements, in the form of user stories, from various sources, such as stakeholders, users, documents, existing systems, or market research. Eliciting requirements involves asking the right questions, listening actively, observing behaviors, and facilitating workshops or interviews.
- Analyze the requirements/user stories and ensure that they are clear, consistent, complete, feasible, and testable. Analyzing requirements involves breaking down complex problems, identifying dependencies and constraints, resolving conflicts, and prioritizing needs.
- Validate the requirements/user stories and ensure that they meet the expectations and needs of the stakeholders and users. Validating requirements involves reviewing, verifying, and validating the requirements with the relevant parties, as well as conducting tests, prototypes, or simulations.
- Manage the requirements/user stories and ensure that they are aligned with the project scope, objectives, and changes. Managing requirements involves documenting, tracing, baselining, and controlling the requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate the requirements/user stories and ensure that they are understood and agreed by all the project participants. Communicating requirements involves creating, presenting, and distributing the requirements artifacts, such as specifications, diagrams, or user stories.
- Ensure user stories have well written descriptions and acceptance criteria and serve as the Liaison between the development team and the stakeholders to ensure the understanding of the requirements/user stories for the application
- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings (tech exchanges, status meetings, user sessions, etc.)
- Effectively communicate status, next steps, insights, schedules, etc. with cross-functional team members and management.
- Assist in project management by developing project plans and managing tasks
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects or tasks.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering system or workflow functionality and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications
- Analyze process and re-engineering, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years consulting, federal government industry, and/or relative experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance
- Ability to be on site 50% in a hybrid work model
Preferred:
- Agile Development Practice Experience
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence in particular)
- Microsoft Office Suite Experience
- Experience Developing User Requirements for Agile Development (Epics, User Stories, etc.)
- Good Communication, Presentation, Interpersonal, and Analytical Skills
- Problem-solving, Critical Thinking, and Modeling Skills.
- Negotiation Skills, Stakeholder Management, and User Involvement Skills.
