Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, NIS Division is seeking a Contracts Manager 2 to join our team in Linthicum, MD. This position will support the rapidly growing Advanced Communication Apertures Operating Unit within the Communications Solutions Business Unit.
This manager position will lead the Advanced Communication Apertures contracts team which includes large and restricted Development and Production contracts with multiple contract types and both Prime and USG customers. The successful candidate will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the OU Director, program managers, business management team, GSC, operations manager, engineering, and other functional teams supporting the Advanced Communication Apertures Operating Unit.
Responsibilities of the Advanced Communication Apertures Contracts Manager include supporting proposal and negotiation efforts with existing customers, leading a team of Contracts Professionals, and supporting Business Development in the shaping and capture of new business pursuits as significant growth is anticipated over the next few years. The ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships is also a key priority of the Advanced Communication Apertures OU and the Contracts team.
The Advanced Communication Apertures Contracts Manager must possess the ability to work collaboratively with the Program team on these high-visibility programs, effectively manage external customers, and provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contracts. Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and be a strategic thinker.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years or a Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant Contracts experience or related field.
- Possess an active Secret clearance with the most recent periodic investigation having been completed and adjudicated within the last 5 years.
- Experience working with DoD and Prime customers.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
- Demonstrated success within leadership roles.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
- Knowledge and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite of Applications.
- Demonstrated skill and ability to perform complex tasks.
- Must possess ability to provide advice on a wide range of contractual and business-related matters including proposal strategy, pricing, audits, contract formation and customer relationships.
- Strong proposal development and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearances.
- Experience with different USG customers (services).
- MBA or JD
- Experience working hardware development and production programs.
- Current DoD Top Secret clearance
