Job Summary:

The Field Project Manager oversees on-site project execution from delivery through commissioning of Cummins branded generator equipment being installed at large scale data center sites. Serving as the primary point of contact during installation and startup, this role coordinates on-site deliveries, supervises enclosure and Cummins technicians, and leads commissioning activities.
Through this fellowship, you will have the opportunity to shadow an experienced Project Manager and gradually take co-ownership of responsibilities as you gain confidence in the role for the duration of the program. Please note that successful completion of the program can lead to a full-time opportunity with Cummins as Field Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include managing labor reporting, commissioning budgets and invoicing, resolving warranty and vendor issues, supporting vendor management, and leading on-site safety. The Field Project Manager represents the team in client meetings and weekly update calls, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Conducts research and analysis; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines. Manages project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk; works with others on the team and outside the team to identify alternatives or solutions. Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other project team experiences to enhance the success of the project. Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on status of specific projects and assignments. Identifies and assigns appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks; guides and coaches team members through various stages of the project; provides developmental feedback to team members.

Project Scope Management - Manages a list of project deliverables (scope) using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required and only the work required to complete the project successfully.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, University, or equivalent certification in Project Management (or equivalent experience)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required.
