We're seeking someone to join our Process Optimization team as a senior leader in Finance Transformation to drive end-to-end process optimization efforts across Finance through process identification, process mapping and supporting the identification of areas of opportunities.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within our Portfolio & Change Management Job Family which manages strategic change management, process re-engineering, and establishment of control procedures for projects with a focus on milestone delivery across projects, managing risks and issues that impact program objectives and facilitating communication across related projects and impacted stakeholders to keep programs on track.
What you'll do in the role:
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making, advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise
Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area
Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards
Partner with the Process Optimization lead for end-to-end process optimization initiatives across Finance, from process identification, mapping and evaluation and track implementation for efficiency tracking (both for Finance and Firm reporting)
Implement and drive adoption of a standardized process optimization framework, including intake, prioritization, and lifecycle governance.
Define, implement and govern the process optimization metrics framework to enable periodic and ad hoc reporting of efficiency metrics to Finance and Firmwide management
Lead and mentor process optimization professionals with strong decision making and governance ownership
Build trusted partnerships across Finance and Firmwide Process Optimization teams
Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to communicate program strategy, coordinate deliverables, track, and report on progress
What you’ll bring to the role:
Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division
Strong technical skills
Ability to inspire and support others by providing positive and constructive feedback and to acknowledge efforts of and promote team members
Ability to manage risk and impact to functional area, and create plans to mitigate those risks
Background in Finance or Finance related functions.
Familiarity with process mapping tools.
Knowledge/Certification of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement frameworks
Evidence of participation in change management and continuous development projects within a complex global organization, preferably Financial Services
At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $205,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
