Job Summary:
Applies developing business process and project management skills within Procurement. Manages small portions of well-defined projects. Provides administrative and logistics support for a project team and project manager. Supports existing / established Procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Serves as a resource on project and work assignments; employs basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding. Assists others team members to identify, track, and resolve project issues. Monitors and communicates project status to the project team. Assists with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines. Assists with managing project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk. Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on the other experiences to enhance the project’s success. Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors, measures, and communicates with the Project Manager on the status of specific projects and assignments.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Key Responsibilities & Role Description
- Lead supplier onboarding and supplier master data management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders, sourcing teams, and suppliers to gather effective inputs for smooth process execution.
- Manage and resolve escalations related to supplier onboarding, master data, and procurement systems.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Proactively monitor procurement systems, identify issues, and drive corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Track and report supplier onboarding KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Support change management initiatives and ensure adoption of new tools, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Document and share best practices, lessons learned, and improvement initiatives across procurement teams.

3. Experience (Source-to-Pay / Procurement)
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Supplier Management.
- Hands-on experience in supplier onboarding, supplier master data management, and vendor governance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Ariba or equivalent) for supplier data handling.
- Exposure to end-to-end Source-to-Pay processes including supplier qualification, onboarding, contract management, and payment cycles.
- Experience in leading small teams or workstreams within procurement projects.
4. Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred, with specialization in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement.
- Additional certifications in Procurement, Project Management (PMP/Prince2), or Data Analytics would be an advantage.
Success Evaluation for Supplier Onboarding & Master Data Team Lead
Process Efficiency – Supplier MDM requests completed within SLA timelines; high accuracy of supplier master data.
Stakeholder Satisfaction – Positive feedback from sourcing teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders; smooth collaboration.
Escalation Management – Quick resolution of supplier or system issues with minimal disruption.
Continuous Improvement – Implementation of new ideas that improve efficiency, reduce risks, or enhance supplier experience.
