DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Electrician - Level IV to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Expert Troubleshooting and Maintenance : Your comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems will ensure efficient troubleshooting, assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance, minimizing downtime and improving productivity.
- Resource Coordination : By selecting and utilizing appropriate resources, tools, machinery, and specialty equipment, you will optimize the manufacturing process and enhance overall efficiency.
- Safety Leadership : Your thorough understanding of safety protocols and commitment to HSE standards will create a safer work environment, preventing injuries and promoting a culture of safety.
- Quality Assurance : Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, you will support equipment failure analysis, perform quality inspections, and ensure all process documents and quality procedures are up-to-date.
- Team Coordination : Acting as a formal resource, you will lead and coordinate team members, sharing your expertise and helping less experienced colleagues develop their skills.
- Problem Solving and Process Improvement : By identifying and reducing manufacturing constraints, scheduling maintenance activities around production requirements, and actively solving problems, you will continuously improve processes.
- Environmental Impact : Recognizing how your work impacts the environment, you will work to minimize negative effects and engage in HSE training to promote sustainability.
- Effective Communication and Teamwork : Communicating effectively with your team and support teams, you will participate in training and development and contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to improve quality, safety, and material flow.

- Electrical System Troubleshooting Skills : Analyze electrical control systems to resolve and repair issues, ensuring systems return to proper operating conditions efficiently.
- Factory Automation and Control Systems Expertise : Implement changes to automate manufacturing processes using available technology and programming techniques. Identify necessary materials and resources for project completion to optimize automation in the manufacturing environment.
- Machine Programming Abilities : Design and implement factory floor machine programs to improve machine usage and overall operation, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Comprehensive Manufacturing Knowledge : Demonstrate a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. Correctly implement changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet functional needs and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Commitment to Quality : Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship. Support equipment failure analysis, perform quality inspections, and ensure all process documents and quality procedures are up-to-date.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
- Fully capable journey person. Be SME and sustain high performance at all times.
- Assist Maintenance technicians on calls, as per call matrix. Immediate transfer learning after every event.
- Lead Team towards achieving KPI’s (MTTR, MTBF & PM) & work toward addressing issues at Top 5 stations.
- Lead improvement initiatives and drive root cause analysis. Help team to drive improvements.
- Help develop formal training and skills assessment tests for journeymen / apprentices as per work plan.
- Support Planner co ordinating Publish Weekend/Project Work Plans (as per Team standard schedule) and Wrap-up (as per Team standard schedule). Weekend planning meeting to be held as per team standard schedules for Ops/Eng. review.
- Assist Maintenance Leader on hiring activities; attend recruitment activities.
- In the absence of planner, CLT will be assisting this Planner activity upon agreement with planner.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
