DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision and in accordance with Cummins Delegation of Authority Policy, the Supply Chain Coordinator uses statistical analysis, collaborative cross-functional intelligence, and validated planning parameter settings to disaggregate the demand plan and determine optimal inventory levels. This role ensures alignment between the supply and demand plans, driving stability in the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):
- Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
- Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Engage in HSE training and actively participate in safety initiatives.
Quality:
- Follow standard work processes, documentation, and quality procedures.
- Perform quality checks on system planning parameters and take action to support the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
Delivery:
- Conduct supply and demand analysis, identifying potential issues for the next 12 months.
- Assist in gathering and compiling data through primary and secondary research.
- Simulate planning parameter changes to analyze their impact on KPIs and provide comprehensive reports.
- Monitor signals for abnormal demand or stock levels and adjust planning parameters when approved.
- Align detailed forecasts with the aggregate demand plan, ensuring customer needs are met.
- Demonstrate flexibility and accountability in meeting business goals and performance standards.
Teamwork:
- Effectively communicate within the team and with support teams.
- Engage in training and personal development aligned with career goals and business requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to quality, safety, and material flow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Competencies:
- Master Supply Scheduling: Develops and maintains a valid Master Production Schedule aligned with customer requirements and operational efficiency.
- Materials KPI Management: Monitors and interprets KPIs to drive performance improvements.
- Materials Master Data Management: Ensures accuracy and quality of master data across the supply chain.
- Materials Planning Parameters: Balances supply and demand plans through parameter adjustments and impact analysis.
- Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Manages systems to ensure timely and accurate part delivery across the supply chain.
- Part Change Control Management: Implements engineering change requests while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
Education, Licenses, Certificates:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience (compliant with applicable regulations).
- College or university degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- 3-4 years of experience in supply chain planning and procurement.
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience preferred in fields such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.
