Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate to join the Human Resource Employee Solutions (HRES) team. This function provides operational and advisory support to our HR Business partner teams, as well as to employees and managers across the firm on a number of processes across the employee lifecycle. In addition, the function partners closely with HR product areas within the department to drive efficiencies and best practices in our HR processes. The HR Associate will primarily focus on operational processes as well as process optimization efforts across a broad range of business units.

The HR Business Partner Solutions Associate will support the Institutional Securities Group (ISG) clients and report to the Employee Solutions team manager as well as co-report to the HR Business Partner supporting the division. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide high‑quality operational and administrative support to ISG HR Business Partners across cyclical and ad‑hoc HR processes, including performance management, promotion, compensation, relocation, offboarding, and professional development.
  • Ownership of workday transactions, reporting, audits, and accurate maintenance of employee data and documentation.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for employees and managers on day‑to‑day HR inquiries, delivering timely, accurate guidance on policies including mobility and immigration questions, leave processing, and employment verifications.
  • Partner with global and regional HR colleagues, Employee Solutions peers, and product leads to deliver consistent, high‑quality services.
  • Project manage planned and ad‑hoc activities for HR Business Partner teams, including coordination of logistics, and communications, and provide dedicated coverage during peak periods, and high‑volume cycles to ensure continuity of service.
  • Manage shared mailboxes and Ask HR queues, ensuring requests are tracked to completion, systems are updated accurately, and service metrics are maintained and reported to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities, trends, and potential risks through day‑to‑day operational work; escalate issues as appropriate and provide proactive guidance to enhance efficiency and the employee experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required with at least 2-4 years of relevant professional experience
  • Must be a team player who enjoys a high volume, fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to flex style based on situation and audience 
  • Successful candidate will have a roll up your sleeves “can do” mindset
  • Strong ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail while dealing with a heavy volume of workflow
  • Results orientated and able to meet deadlines; knows when to escalate
  • Exhibits ownership and accountability to ensure tasks are completed in a thorough and timely manner
  • Effective problem solving skills with a high degree of initiative
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
  • Sound working knowledge of general Human Resources functions
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Power Point, Word, etc. Visio a plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
