Job Details

The Liquidity Sales Desk Analyst is a key member of the U.S. Liquidity Sales Support team within MSIM Global Liquidity. This role supports corporate, financial institution, and cross-divisional sales efforts by providing analytical, operational, and client-focused assistance to drive distribution of the firm’s liquidity solutions. The analyst partners closely with sales, portfolio management, marketing, operations, and compliance to ensure an efficient and high-quality client experience. This position is based in New York and offers an opportunity to gain deep exposure to money markets, short-duration products, and institutional liquidity clients.

About IM Global Liquidity: Our Global Liquidity team manages over $353 billion in assets under management across domestic 2a-7 money market funds, offshore UCITS money market funds, domestic ultra-short bond funds, and separately managed accounts. IM Global Liquidity is also focused on bringing the latest technology solutions and services to our clients, including an expanding cash-management investment portal and related technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Execute institutional sales support for the Global Liquidity Solutions Group (money market funds, ultra-short bond funds and separate account business).
  • Support the sales team in developing and executing an optimal client-relationship management framework to maintain existing and drive new AUM.
  • Manage and coordinate various aspects of territory management, including conference participation, prospect research and lists, bi-weekly reporting, and pipeline management.
  • Manage client communications for general marketing as well as event- or client-specific communications.
  • Work closely with Liquidity Management to prepare business plans, sales objectives, forecasts and sales channel reporting.
  • Establish excellent communications across functional areas of the firm – including portfolio management, marketing, legal, compliance and client service teams – to ensure seamless execution of business requests.
  • Support onboarding of new institutional clients across corporate and financial institution channels.
  • Maintain sales dashboards, CRM entries, and activity reports to ensure accurate and timely data for senior leadership.
  • Develop proficiency in money market funds, SMAs, and short-term fixed income instruments.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related field, with at least some coursework in finance or economics.
  • 1 to 3 years of industry experience.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including telephone manner; interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with AI tools, and advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems; ability to document sales activity through CRM.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to manage time effectively.
  • Results-oriented individual who thrives on achievement and performance.
  • Works effectively and supports a team-oriented approach.
Preferred
  • Prior internship or experience in asset management, capital markets, sales support, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with money markets, liquidity management, or fixed income products.
  • Proactive, client-focused mindset.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior sales professionals.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between and $70,000 - $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
