DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented School to Work – Manufacturing student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI .

*This position will be on-site in Troy, MI at least 3 days per week.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• As a team member, supports and contributes to the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while contributing to teams.

• Assists with the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

• Contributes by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.

• Assists with the development of manufacturing standards and working methods by using continuous improvement tools.

• Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments. Learns the knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

• Applicants must have good communication skills and be self-starter.

Education:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

• Current Enrollment in college, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field highly preferred .

QUALIFICATIONS

• Request that successful candidate work a routine schedule up to 40 hours per week. There is room for flexibility when needed, but we request that a routine work week be maintained as much as possible.
