- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in management consulting, or an operations-related function; or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree in business, accounting, or finance.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree
- Experience with running large outsourced operational processes, optimizing on the fly.
- Experience with reporting, dashboards and data visualization.
- Knowledge of financial and accounting business acumen, particularly in Order to Cash.
- Excellent problem-solving skills using SQL or other scripting languages.
The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.
The collections team manages the collection of cash for all of Google’s customers. The team’s portfolio includes all regions and all product areas including Ads, Digital Goods, Cloud, which make up about half of Google’s terms Accounts Receivable (A/R).
In this role, you will be a business partner, grow in ambiguity and enjoy solving complex issues for the business, you will be a process designer ninja, project manager with a history of process improvement/optimization. You will exhibit impeccable commercial ideas, regularly engaging with key stakeholders across Google to balance cash, cost and customer satisfaction. You will work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations and you will proactively minimize operational risk.

- Design and manage scalable, controlled and compliant processes for customers.
- Define and lead the direction of a process/product area navigating impact, priorities and stakeholders.
- Create executive summaries for leadership and influence executive stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop the collections strategy for your area and define strategy and align your roadmap with the wider Collections team.
- Collaborate with Collections Operations organization to ensure high standard of execution on operational activity including Service Level Agreements, adherence to documented processes and quality of results.
