Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, Strat’s to risk management.

The candidate will be based out of Mumbai and will be primarily working with the Convertible Bonds Sales and Trading desk (Hong Kong) along with regular support to Corporate Equity Desk. The role suits a self-motivated, highly energetic individual who has a strong background in mathematical analysis.  The role offers great opportunity to the candidates to build on their knowledge of and exposure to Equity Derivative products, risks as well as valuation.

The role also offers a unique opportunity of exposure into financial analysis across varied industries/sector combined with working on trading related activities for the desk.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Person to focus on Trading around APAC CB & CED
• Trade Bookings & Associated queries of CB & CED products
• Working with Wider MS teams around the world with regards to CB & CED Space.
• New CB set up – To set up new deals and create/map credit curve
• Corp action – Calculation/change conversion price in Convex due to corp action
• CB warrant – set up/book the warrant in risk and follows up with Ops on the downstream booking and settlement
• Adhoc Queries

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Graduates with MBAs and/or CFA (preferred but not must)
• 2-6 years’ work experience in Banking/Financial Services in Trading Support
• Proficiency in MS Office products – Advanced Excel, Python is a must.
• Coursework/Strong understanding in Financial Markets
• Good communication skills – written as well as telephonic. There will be regular communication with the trading desk and the person needs to be able to understand the requirements and express their thoughts clearly.
• High level of attention to detail

In addition, the candidate should have theoretical or practical understanding of - Options and their behaviour over time

• Basic options trading strategies
• General behaviour of Equity Derivatives markets – Flow and Structured Products
