Job Details
In this position, you will work closely with our financial services clients to solve complex geospatial problems. This role requires a combination of industry expertise and GIS technical know-how.
You will be a part of a specialized team that supports our insurance and banking customers in Professional Services (PS), Esri’s consulting group. Esri PS is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our clients be successful. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients, including the largest corporations in the world.
You will work closely with our technical staff and business development team to define and implement geospatial solutions for our financial services and insurance clients. You will spend time developing business opportunities and growing Esri’s footprint in the insurance and banking industries.
In this position, you will become a trusted advisor for Esri’s customers. Blend your subject matter expertise with Esri’s geospatial capabilities to provide transformational approaches to our customers’ businesses.
Responsibilities- Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art solutions
- Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions to address customer needs
- Work with customers to prepare implementations, change management, and migration activities
- Manage projects throughout the entire project life-cycle, including requirements, analysis, design, build, and implementation
- Manage the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables for programs and projects through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk management.
- Establish, develop, and expand relationships with customers, partners, and distributors
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience with a record of technology or business management consulting with an interest in private sector customers
- Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
- Experience developing project designs, work plans, budgets, and schedules
- Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn
- You thrive in dynamic, cross-functional and matrixed team environments
- Excellent written communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, a proactive problem solver, team-oriented, and creative
- Strong, persuasive, and friendly communications skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
- Ability to consult and engage with senior level leadership
- Experience with proposal writing, preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing
- Bachelor’s in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, business, computer information systems or a related STEM field
- Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analysis, or similar geospatial technology
- Master’s in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, MBA or a related STEM field
- Preferred experience in the insurance and banking industry
