Skills and Competencies

  • 1-2 years of experience in social media, communications or digital engagement
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms and social media best practices 
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail 
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for digital storytelling 
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as: Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or others is preferred

Responsibilities

Supports social media operations by coordinating content, approvals, monitoring, and governance to ensure consistent, compliant digital engagement.
  • Manage the intake and triage process for social media proposals and inquiries, independently monitoring a shared mailbox, prioritizing requests, and routing items to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate responses.

  • Draft engaging and compliant social media content for professional networking platforms using approved content amplification tools, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, messaging standards, and governance requirements.

  • Coordinate scheduling and publishing of approved content across social media platforms by maintaining content calendars and working with internal partners to ensure accurate and timely publication.

  • Maintain comprehensive social media documentation, including published posts, approval records, branding assets, and reference materials, ensuring consistency, traceability, and audit readiness.

  • Support social media governance activities by organizing committee materials, tracking actions, and helping ensure adherence to internal policies and compliance requirements in day‑to‑day operations.

  • Monitor social media channels on an ongoing basis to help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment by reviewing comments, mentions, and direct messages and escalating issues when needed.

  • Prepare periodic performance summaries and basic reports on social media activity and engagement to support visibility and continuous improvement.

  • Provide general administrative and operational support, including coordinating with finance partners to process invoices for paid promotions and assisting the team with day‑to‑day activities and priority initiatives.

Our Moody’s Ratings Research and Content Strategy team supports the coordination, governance, and distribution of research‑related content to global audiences. The team works cross‑functionally to enable compliant digital engagement and adopts data‑driven and artificial intelligence–enabled tools to improve efficiency and reach.
