We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Fund Financial Reporting Director for The Fund Administration Financial Reporting Group for Alternative Investments. The Financial Reporting Group is primarily responsible for the management and oversight of various financial and regulatory reporting processes for certain lines of tax-managed alternative investment products, including private exchange funds with AUM of approximately $72.0 Billion, including real estate assets of approximately $10.0 Billion.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position at Director level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.
This position is part of a team of experienced accounting professionals responsible for financial and regulatory reporting, performing operational and accounting functions related to the fund's investments including real estate investments, analyzing transactions, financing, and other activities in a dynamic environment. The team provides on-going support to and works collaboratively with various internal groups. This position requires the candidate to have a solid understanding of financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and an interest in the investment management industry.

What you’ll do in the role:
- Maintain an experienced understanding of the business line, firm and real estate investments held in a competitive environment.
- Prepare and/or review supporting documentation for the Fund financial statements and of information accompanying the financial statements including shareholder letters, total return calculations and other information.
- Analyze, evaluate and incorporate financial statement comments provided by other participating parties for appropriateness and consistency.
- Prepare supporting documentation and/or perform detailed reviews of various quarterly and annual Federal Reserve filings.
- Prepare supporting documentation for other financial reports such as private placement offering documents, internal reporting and other ad hoc requests.
- Perform various other operational accounting and reporting functions for the Alternative Investment Funds and the related subsidiary real estate investments. Such responsibilities may include monitoring cash movements, accrual accounting, assisting with external and internal audits, monitoring and processing invoices, maintaining and analyzing the reporting for the oversight of daily NAVs and affiliated fees, preparing various internal reporting for management, preparing and analyzing monthly performance analysis.

- Play a role in ensuring a strong control environment and monitor risks.
- Contribute to the optimization of the use of technology solutions and existing platform subscriptions. Adapt to and learn innovative technologies as needed.
- Contribute to firm initiatives.
Other Responsibilities:
- Play a contributing role in administering existing technology platforms and creating solutions using AI and modern technology.
- Strong accountability for accuracy and completion of assigned deliverables while meeting deadlines.
- Play an integral contributing role in daily collaborations with internal teams as well as multiple outside service providers. Outside service providers include custodian, transfer agent, audit and tax professionals.
- Maintain and build relationships with peers in department, immediate supervisor, peers in other departments and with exposure to senior staff.
- May have responsibility for training staff and have supervisory responsibilities.
- Participation in firm initiatives and adherence to firm policies, procedures, and training.
What you’ll bring to the role:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business-related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry knowledge or financial reporting experience.
- Advanced Excel and technology skills preferred. Skilled working with Alteryx a plus.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated individual with a superior work ethic.
